If Kafoamotalau was the oldest son of Vaea, of his first wife, then why did Moeakiola, a younger brother, succeed their father? This only make sense if the latter ranked higher than the former because of the high rank of his mother. Then indeed Simuoko must have been a tamahā, despite the denial of it by some.
