a word of advice fatuʻi vahe

Thank you for your contributions. However if you put additions to pages, make sure that you check your results before continuing. For example a mistyping had garbled the Pomikanite page, which you should have seen before saving.

Concerning the language templates. This is not a sophisticated site. We only distinguish 4 levels here: 0 for nothing to 3 for advanced speakers, which include native speakers. If you really insist to add a level 4 for native speakers only, you may do so but under the following conditions: the colour scheme is in accordance with the existing levels; the template integrates with the existing levels, incuding pointers and categories; it is done for the other languages as well.

OK! Greetings from Germany --Islandfreak 07:54, 2 Siulai 2007 (UTC)Reply
Forget about what I said, too long ago that I made them. There is a level 4 after all already there, but it is called just Template:ʻetita de --Tauʻolunga 06:42, 26 Siulai 2007 (UTC)Reply

Canarium harveyi IS NOT Canarium indicum, (as far as I know). Picture removed. --Tauʻolunga 07:09, 8 Siulai 2007 (UTC)Reply

But there is a link to the English WP and there is the picture which you have mooved.--Islandfreak 08:20, 9 Siulai 2007 (UTC)Reply

The en:Canarium link is to the genus, rather than the species, as the Canarium harveyi (mentioned on the page) is still in red. Whenever that page would be created, then of course the interwiki link can be updated. But for now the undertitling of the picture is clearly Canarium indicum --Tauʻolunga 02:01, 10 Siulai 2007 (UTC)Reply

I would rather like to see a better picture here than this low resolution Image:Herring2.jpg which barely shows any fins at all. After all it is de:Strahlenflosser. This one Image:Monterey Bay Aquarium Fish1.jpg seems to be OK with me, unless you have a better one still. --Tauʻolunga 07:23, 8 Siulai 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yes the new picture is really better!--Islandfreak 08:22, 9 Siulai 2007 (UTC)Reply

Maybe 2... but how many other people look at all this Wikipedia? In Germany nearly no one. And in Tonga? I don't think that it is famous there!Greetings--Islandfreak 08:09, 21 Siulai 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I see you took a very good idea to make daily pictures in Tongan wikipedia. We have the same in Samogitian wiki. But we have more rational way to make daily pictures what it not need to change every day. So, I offer to you to do the same. We put in the main page this: and have created templates with pictures like this (CURRENTMONTH-CURRENTDAY changes date and you need templates with various dates here is all our day pictures). So, you can make a lot of picture for the future and thay will change every day. Second thing, yo have said that there are no pictures from Tonga, so I offer to use pictures from all Polynesia or Oceania. All these countries are similar and very beautiful. Good luck! If you need any help, write to my talk page here. I visit Tongan wiki every day :) Hugo.arg 09:51, 31 Siulai 2007 (UTC)Reply

I already made some, see for example Template:Peesi tali fiefia/ʻataʻaho-08-1. Do you want to make more? --Tauʻolunga 06:07, 1 ʻAokosi 2007 (UTC)Reply
Very good :) But I think that pictures of people are not very representing Tonga (it's only my opinion :)). Maybe it will be better use pictures from here Ngaahi ʻata ʻo e ʻakau Tonga? It doesn't matter if these pictures are not taken in Tonga but anyway they are common Tongan plants. Or how I offered to use pictures of other Polynesian countries. User:Islandfreak has intiative to change pictures but if he is bussy I have no problem to fill list of pictures, for example for every 2 weeks. Only need to agree about what pictures we will use. Hugo.arg 10:52, 1 ʻAokosi 2007 (UTC)Reply
You can use this text for the template Template:Peesi tali fiefia/ʻataʻaho-08-2, because then the design is better!

I do not think that additional code is needed, it only makes things more complex and slower and the heading is already on the welcomes page itself.
The pictures of plants can be used, but not for every day, I tried to bring some variation in the few weeks I collected. Otherwise it is like the Samogitian site where, for the few days I checked out, it seemed to be every day a landscape with a house at a lake. But we have 366 days to fill, and can always change some or all the year after. Everybody can contribute. --Tauʻolunga 21:12, 2 ʻAokosi 2007 (UTC)Reply
