Talk:ʻInoke Fotu Faletau

Not knowing the Tongan language I am assuming that this is some type of comments board. My name is Steve Burdett (Sione Fotu Faletau) and I have not had an opportunity to express my thoughts about my fathers life or sudden passing. I take this opportunity to now do so.

I did not meet Inoke until I was 29 years old and living in Auckland. It was such a shock and a delight to meet this man gentle man of whom I had never imagined existed. He was kindly to the point of being awkward at our first meeting. However we persevered and over the next few years a tentitive relationship grew with the whole family. We visited one another from time to time and conversed too infrequently over the internet.

Information of my fathers death came to me in February 2006 through a friend not connected in any way to the Faletau family. This had devestated me to the core of my being. Too have found my father and and a wonderful family where I was made to feel so welcome and indeed felt so at home was a lot to loose. Although I had tried to keep intouch over a period of years my letters and cards went unanswered. I hope the family is well and long may you prosper. be kind to your people and they shall remember you fondly.

Father - Gods speed

Love from your first born - Sione Fotu
