Tokiukamea describes Liufau, the chief of Haʻano, as one of the commanders in Fīnau ʻUlukālala II ʻi Feletoa (Fangupō)'s army on his war against Vavaʻu in 1808. He was accused of treason, but then released as the charges could not be substantiated. He remained a loyal follower of Fīnau. FOKI
